College Improv Tournament

2N Wins College Comedy Tournament West Coast Finals!

Yesterday, Second Nature competed against five formidable opponents from ComedySportz LA, Loyola Marymount’s Laser Squad Bravo, The National Comedy Theatre San Diego, CalPoly’s Smile and Nod, and The Knights of Comedy from Chapman University to win the West coast regional finals of the Chicago Improv Festival’s College Improv Tournament.

We made it through the first round as winners and won the final round by unanimous judges decision.  As the winners, we have earned ourselves a slot in the national competition in Chicago on Saturday, November 15, 2008.  We’ll be challenging improvisers from Illinois State University, Northwestern, and Suffolk University.  Winners of the national finals will be awarded a performance slot at the prestigious Chicago Improv Festival, as well as the Rooftop Comedy Festival.  For full info, visit the Tournament’s website here. You can also watch video of our performance at rooftopcomedy.com

College Comedy Competition

We’re competing in the CCC on Saturday, October 25 at the Westside Eclectic Theatre in Santa Monica.  We’ll be fighting for a trip to Chicago and the possibility of performing in the 2009 Chicago Improv Festival.  It’s just like reality tv, but without the scripted interaction (take that reality tv!).  For more info, check out our shows page.
