Come see Second Nature perform with Quipfire!, Princeton University’s renowned improv comedy troupe. The troupe is joining us as part of their West Coast tour. Unlike our regular shows, this show will take place outdoors, under the VKC arches. The show will start at 9pm.
The Fifth Annual Fracas! Improv Festival, hosted by Second Nature, will take place April 17-19, 2008.
Second Nature founded Fracas! in 2003 as the first purely collegiate improv festival in the country. Unlike other improv festivals, Fracas! centers around the experience of the college improviser. Only college troupes are permitted to perform in the three-day festival, where they also participate in professional workshops with some of the best improvisers in the country. [Read more →]
In the past six years, Second Nature and its alumni have developed a reputation for being a passionate, talented young troupe. As a result, we have been fortunate enough to work with some really talented people.
In addition to regular workshops, the members of Second Nature can expect monthly workshops with professional improvisers who we’ve forged relationships with. Second Nature has worked with:
Our alumni are currently working and writing for TV and film, or performing at the top improv theatres in Los Angeles, including ImprovOlympic and The Upright Citizen’s Brigade. Second Nature has close relationships with improv troupes at more than 30 other Universities. In the past two years, we’ve performed joint shows with more than a dozen other college improv troupes including Yale’s famous Purple Crayon. We also perform regularly to paying audiences all over Los Angeles.
While Second Nature focuses purely on Improv, our current members and alumni do both stand up and sketch comedy. Because of our involvement within the LA comedy scene, there are plenty of opportunities for members of Second Nature to perform sketch, stand-up and improv at some of the top venues in Los Angeles. We love comedy. SO much. Of course, many people on Second Nature are just here to have fun - and that’s A-Okay too.
